Candidates shortlisted from Tier I (roughly 1:10) sit Tier II, a 100-mark main examination that decides the final merit.
Yes — 1/3rd (0.33) of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer in Tier I. Since Tier I only qualifies you for Tier II rather than deciding final merit on its own, guessing purely to clear the cutoff is riskier than it looks.

A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institute (or an NCTE-recognised four-year integrated degree). The maximum age is 35 years, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories as per government norms.
