Exam Pattern

200 objective questions worth 200 marks, attempted in 2 hours, covering General Awareness & Pedagogy and the concerned teaching subject at graduate level. Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.

Preparation Strategy

1. Prioritise subject depth: The concerned subject carries the largest share of the paper — work from graduate-level material for your specific subject.
2. Don't skip pedagogy: Teaching methodology and pedagogy questions are a smaller but reliable scoring area that subject specialists often under-prepare.
3. Confirm your subject's specific qualification early: Some DSSSB TGT subjects (like Computer Science) require a specific degree (BCA/B.Tech CS-IT) — verify your eligibility for the exact subject before investing in preparation.
4. Respect the 0.25 negative marking: Guess only when you can eliminate at least one option.
