The Bihar D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination is the gateway to a two-year teacher- training diploma — six subjects in one no-negative-marking paper, with Hindi/Urdu and Mathematics carrying the most weight.

Exam Pattern

120 objective questions worth 120 marks, attempted in 2.5 hours: General Hindi/Urdu (25 questions), Mathematics (25 questions), Science (20 questions), Social Studies (20 questions), General English (20 questions), and Logical & Analytical Reasoning (10 questions). No negative marking.

Preparation Strategy

1. Attempt every question: With no negative marking, there's no downside to a confident guess.
2. Prioritise Hindi/Urdu and Mathematics: At 25 questions each, they're the two heaviest sections — build these first.
3. Treat Logical & Analytical Reasoning as a quick, high-value section: At only 10 questions, it's a small but efficient target for focused practice.
4. Revise Class 10-level Science and Social Studies: The content pitches at a secondary-school level, not an advanced one — NCERT-style revision is enough.
5. Build basic English comprehension and grammar: The English section tests fundamentals, not advanced language skills.
6. Practise full-length papers at 75 seconds a question: 120 questions in 150 minutes is generous, but timed practice still helps build consistent pacing.
