Overview

SSC JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) recruits translators for central ministries, departments, and the Central Translation Bureau, along with Junior Translator and Hindi Pradhyapak posts. It is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Exam Pattern

SSC JHT has 3 stages:

1. Paper I (Objective)

Objective test on General Hindi, General English, and Translation & Essay aptitude.

2. Paper II (Descriptive)

Descriptive paper requiring translation passages between Hindi and English, plus essay writing.

3. Interview

Personal interview evaluating language proficiency and translation aptitude.

Eligibility

Master's degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a subject at the degree level (or equivalent, per the specific post).

Preparation Strategy
