SSC JE EE Preparation Guide 2026

Overview

SSC JE Electrical Engineering is the Electrical-discipline track of the SSC Junior Engineer exam, recruiting Electrical Engineers into CPWD, MES, and central power/utility departments. It is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Exam Pattern

SSC JE EE has 2 stages:

1. Paper I (CBT)

Objective test: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering — with Electrical-specific technical questions.

2. Paper II (Descriptive)

Conventional paper on Electrical Engineering subjects: Circuit Law, Magnetic Circuits, AC/DC Machines, Power Systems, and Utilization of Electrical Energy.

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
