Overview

SSC GD Constable recruits General Duty Constables for the Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB), Assam Rifles, and Secretariat Security Force. It is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

Exam Pattern

SSC GD Constable has 3 stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

Objective paper covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

Running, and measurement of height/chest/weight against force-specific standards.

3. Medical Examination

Detailed medical fitness examination as per force-specific standards.

Marking Scheme

0.25 mark deducted per wrong answer.

10th pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board; age and physical criteria as per force notification.
