Yes. Candidates scoring below 25% in the written examination are not eligible for enrolment, regardless of how the rest of the selection process goes.
Candidates who qualify proceed to a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is qualifying only — no marks are awarded. Male candidates are measured on height and chest, female candidates on height and weight, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
A Class 10 (Matriculation) pass from a recognised board. The age limit is 18 to 30 years, with relaxations as per Uttar Pradesh government norms.
