Overview
NEET is the single entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH courses in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The exam is conducted offline (pen and paper).
Exam Structure
- Duration: 200 minutes (3 hours 20 minutes)
- Total Marks: 720 Marks
- Subjects:
- Physics (50 questions)
- Chemistry (50 questions)
- Biology (100 questions: 50 Botany, 50 Zoology)
- Sections: Each subject has Section A (35 compulsory questions) and Section B (15 questions, attempt any 10).

The NEET syllabus is based on the NCERT Class 11 and 12 curriculum for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
1. Physics
Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Thermodynamics, Behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices.
2. Chemistry

Marking Scheme
- Correct Answer: +4 Marks
- Negative Marking: -1 Mark for each wrong answer.
- Unanswered: 0 Marks.
Preparation Strategy
- Master NCERTs: Almost all questions in NEET are based on NCERT books. Read them thoroughly.
- Focus on Biology: Biology carries 50% of the marks. Ensure you have clear concepts and memorize important terms.
