250 objective questions worth 750 marks across two papers of 125 questions/375 marks each, attempted over 5 hours in total. The papers together cover General Hindi, General Studies/Teaching Aptitude, and the concerned engineering or non-engineering subject.
Yes — 1/3rd of the marks allotted to a question is deducted for a wrong answer. At 3 marks per question, that's a 1-mark penalty.
Candidates who clear both papers are called for an interview worth 100 marks, and the final merit list combines the written test and interview scores.
A first-class technical degree for engineering subjects, or a first-class master's degree for non-engineering subjects, from a recognised university. Age must be 21-40 years as on 1st July, with the usual UPPSC relaxations.
Yes, final-year students can apply, but they must submit all degree documents before the result is declared.
