The NDA written exam has two papers: Mathematics (120 questions, 150 minutes, 300 marks) and the General Ability Test or GAT (150 questions, 150 minutes, 600 marks). Both papers are conducted on the same day.
Yes. In the NDA exam, negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers. For Mathematics, 0.83 marks are deducted per wrong answer. For the GAT, 1.33 marks are deducted for each incorrect response.
The NDA GAT paper tests English, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, and Geography.
The NDA exam is considered hard as it tests both high-school level mathematics (11th and 12th grade syllabus) and a wide range of general ability subjects.
