The selection exam is a single online test worth 225 marks in total — 200 marks of objective questions plus a 25-mark descriptive paper. The objective part has 155 questions across four individually-timed sections: English Language (35 questions, 40 minutes), Reasoning and Computer Aptitude (45 questions, 60 minutes), General/Economy/Banking Awareness (40 questions, 35 minutes) and Data Analysis & Interpretation (35 questions, 45 minutes). With the 30-minute descriptive paper, the total sitting runs 210 minutes.

Yes. Each of the four objective sections has its own fixed time window and you cannot return to a section once its time has elapsed. This makes section-wise pacing far more important than in an exam with a single combined clock — an unfinished Data Analysis set cannot be rescued with time saved elsewhere.

Yes. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for a wrong answer. Because the sections carry different weights per question, the size of the penalty varies by section — a wrong Data Analysis & Interpretation answer costs more than a wrong General Awareness answer.

It is a 25-mark typed English paper with two questions — letter writing and an essay — attempted in 30 minutes after the objective sections. It tests written communication rather than recall, so practising typed answers under time pressure matters as much as content preparation.

Candidates who clear the online examination are called for a Group Discussion, followed by a Personal Interview. Final selection is based on performance across these stages, so shortlisted candidates should prepare for banking and current-affairs discussion topics alongside the written exam.

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude and Data Analysis & Interpretation carry the heaviest weight — 60 marks each of the 200 objective marks — despite having 45 and 35 questions respectively. English Language and General/Economy/Banking Awareness account for 40 marks each. Prioritising the two heavier sections gives the highest return on preparation time.
