Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the RSCB Banking Assistant (Clerk) exam structure, eligibility requirements, rules, and timelines.

The Rajasthan Cooperative Recruitment Board (RCRB) conducts the recruitment. RCRB acts as the official recruiting arm for the Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank (RSCB) and the wider Rajasthan cooperative banking structure, so the posts are advertised and the exam is administered by the board rather than by an individual bank branch.

It is a single online objective examination of 200 questions carrying 200 marks, to be completed in 120 minutes. There are no separate sectional time limits — the whole paper is attempted in one continuous sitting, so you are free to allocate time across sections as you see fit.

Yes. Every correct answer earns 1 mark and 0.25 marks (one-fourth) are deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty, so blind guessing across a large number of questions works against you.

The 200-mark paper is split across seven areas: English Language (30), Quantitative Aptitude (30), Reasoning (30), General Knowledge of Rajasthan (30), Computer Knowledge (25), Accountancy (25), and Rajasthan Cooperative Act 2001, Rules 2003 & Structure (30). The last group is what most distinguishes this exam from a general banking clerk paper.

It is a full 30-mark section in its own right — 15% of the paper — covering the Rajasthan Cooperative Societies Act 2001, the Rajasthan Cooperative Societies Rules 2003, and the structure of the cooperative movement in Rajasthan. This is a closed, learnable syllabus with a high marks-per-hour return, so it is usually the most efficient section to secure early in your preparation.

Beyond the usual English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning that any bank clerk exam tests, this paper adds three state- and role-specific blocks: General Knowledge of Rajasthan, Accountancy, and the Rajasthan Cooperative Act and Rules. Together those account for 85 of the 200 marks, so a candidate preparing only from generic banking material would leave a large share of the paper unaddressed.
