Key Preparation Tips
Geometry & Trigonometry (Tier 2 — Most Feared, Highest Differentiator): These two together contribute 10–13 questions. The key is memorising all geometry theorems (circle properties, triangle similarity, tangent properties) and the 30 standard trigonometric identity transformations. Practice with SSC-specific geometry question banks — the patterns are highly repetitive across years.
Data Interpretation (Tier 2 — Highest Scorer): 4–5 DI sets appear in Tier 2. Unlike banking exams, SSC DI tends to use simpler calculations but trickier data reading. Practice reading pie charts with absolute values and percentages simultaneously.
English — Vocabulary is the Differentiator at High Scores: Error Spotting and Fill in the Blanks together contribute 15–18 marks. Build active vocabulary using SSC wordlists (GRE-level words do NOT appear; SSC uses B2/C1 level — focus on formal English vocabulary).
General Awareness — 75 Marks Cannot Be Ignored: Most aspirants under-prepare GA assuming it is luck-based. It is not. Static GK (History, Polity, Geography, Science) contributes 50–60% and is completely predictable from previous years. Build a 200-topic static GK document and revise weekly.
