Show Answer
2100
Given:
Total number of candidates appeared for B.Sc = 3.4 + 3.6 + 4.2 + 4.8 + 3.8 = 19.8
Total number of candidates qualified for B.Sc = 1.2 + 1.8 + 2.1 + 2.3 + 1.9 = 9.3
Concept:
Average = sum of observation/ No. of observation
Calculation:
⇒ Average: Total number of candidates appeared for B.Sc = (3.4 + 3.6 + 4.2 + 4.8 + 3.8)/5 = 19.8/5 = 3.96
⇒ Average of Total number of candidates qualified for B.Sc = (1.2 + 1.8 + 2.1 + 2.3 + 1.9)/5 = 9.3/5 = 1.86
⇒ Difference of Averages of Appeared to qualified = 3.96 - 1.86 = 2.1
And,
⇒ 2.1 × 1000 = 2100
