Diabetes is a metabolic disease caused due to the excess of blood sugar level in human body. An excessive quantity of sugar in blood, damages other vital organs. Though, it is caused by the under production of insulin hormone by the pancreas, it is also a life style disease, caused due to unhealthy dietary habits and lack of physical exercise. Diabetes can be classified into the following general categories:
Type 1 diabetes (due to β-cell destruction, usually leading to absolute insulin deficiency)

Assigning a type of diabetes to an individual often depends on the circumstances present at the time of diagnosis, with individuals not necessarily fitting clearly into a single category. For example, some patients cannot be clearly classified as having type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Clinical presentation and disease progression may vary considerably in both types of diabetes.
The traditional paradigms of type 2 diabetes occurring only in adults and type 1 diabetes only in children are no longer accurate, as both diseases occur in both cohorts.
Occasionally, patients with type 2 diabetes may present with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Children with type 1 diabetes typically present with the hallmark symptoms of polyuria / polydipsia and occasionally with DKA. हमले के बाद 7 अगस्त से 9 अगस्त के बीच जापान के सम्राट हिरोहितो व उनकी युद्ध सलाहकार समिति समर्पण के स्वरूप और शर्तों पर विचार कर रही थी, लेकिन अमरीकी सरकार को अपने एक और बम का परीक्षण कर प्रभाव का सटीक आकलन करना था और उसे दुनिया को दिखाना भी था। इसलिए जापान के समर्पण तैयारी को जानते हुए भी 9 अगस्त को दक्षिणी जापान के बन्दरगाह नगर नागासाकी पर 11 बजकर, 1 मिनट पर 6.4 किलो प्लूटोनियम-239 वाला 'फैट मैन' नाम का दूसरा बम गिराया गया। 43 सेकण्ड के बाद ज़मीन से 1,540 फीट की ऊँचाई पर यह बम फटा और इससे 21 किलोटन टी.एन.टी. के बराबर धमाका हुआ। परिणामस्वरूप 3,900 डिग्री सेल्सियस की ऊष्मा उत्पन्न हुई और हवा की गति 1005 कि.मी. प्रति घण्टे तक पहुँच गयी। इससे तत्काल हुई मौतों की संख्या का अनुमान 40,000 से 75,000 के बीच था। 1945 के अन्त तक यह आँकड़ा 80,000 तक जा पहुँचा।
